President:
Hello and Welcome to Riverfest 2008! Come join us for the City’s only annual celebration of Independence Day. I hope you and your family will enjoy Riverfest’s great entertainment, food and games, as well as a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by C&O Motors. Each year, Riverfest depends solely on local and corporate sponsors to donate time and monetary funds to make every year better than the last. A special thanks to Bayer CorpScience for oldies night; Madison Coal and Supply for the donation of barges; the West Virginia Lottery, Suddenlink, Bob Cantrell at AC&S and Leonard’s Electrical Suppliers. A special thanks to the Kanawha County Commission—Kent Carper, Dave Hardy and Hoppy Shores. I would also like to thank the City of St. Albans, Mayor’s Office, City Council, Building Department, Street & Sanitation, Parks Recreation, Fire Department, Police Department and Riverfest Board of Directors.
