Country Weekly Readers Name Chris Young Country’s Hottest Bachelor…Again!

“Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” Moves into the Top 40 as Young Headlines Tornado Relief Benefit this Weekend

Nashville, TN – RCA Nashville recording artist Chris Young is hot on the charts, and well, just hot, as the new issue of Country Weekly – on stands today – reveals its annual list of country’s Hottest Bachelors, with Chris ranking #1. More than 160,000 fans voted in this year’s online poll, with Young re-claiming the top spot he first earned in 2006.

The poll speaks to Young’s continuing popularity with the fans, and it comes as Chris moves into the country radio Top 40 this week with his latest single, the sexy and playful “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song).” In addition to its radio airplay, the sultry groove of “Gettin’ You Home” has been drawing listeners to Chris’ MySpace page (www.myspace.com/chrisyoung), where the song has tallied more than 450,000 plays.

Young has remained a Hottest Bachelor favorite with Country Weekly readers ever since the release of his self-titled debut album earned him the highest-selling debut by a new male country artist in 2006.

On being voted #1 once again, Chris kids that his band is going to be teasing him about it for months, but in a very gracious message to the fans, he says, “This is a really cool thing for me that they all showed up in force to vote for this, and a big thank you to all the fans that did it, ‘cause this is a huge deal.”

This Friday, May 1, Chris will be headlining the Chris Young & Friends Tornado Relief Benefit Presented by MTSU and The Big 98 WSIX, with proceeds to help support victims of the recent tornados that hit Tennessee’s Rutherford County and Chris’ hometown of Murfreesboro. Tickets are still available, with complete information online at www.murfreesborobenefit.com.

“Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)” is the first single from Chris’ upcoming second album, and the song is available now as a digital single at online music retailers.
